Ben Chandler is a Chicago-based photographer, editor and filmmaker specializing in work with local artists and musicians. He has worked to create short films, music videos, web clips and promotional materials for artists and businesses such as Touch and Go Records, The Hideout, Victory Gardens Theater and Chicago Magazine, as well as for numerous musicians and theater companies in the area. He is the producer of The Interview Show – a monthly talk show at the The Hideout – and was assistant producer for a feature length documentary biography of architect and city planner Daniel Burnham.
He has been a devoted admirer of Studs Terkel since he first picked up Working from his dad's bookshelf in high school and had the opportunity to meet Studs at a screening of Grapes of Wrath. It remains one of his fondest memories.
